A beautiful spring day
Installationen monterades på Raul Wallenbergsplats morgonen den 29
mars 2003.
The artwork was erected in Raul Wallenbergs square 2003.03.29
Tillstånd hade sökts i Linköpings kommun som välvilligt
upplät platsen.
Local authorities willingly issued a permit for one day.
Monteringen tog ca 2 timmar.
Setting the art took about two hours.
Den består huvud-sakligen av 3 mobila flaggstänger och ett fält
av gevär med FN-hjälmar.
It consists of 3 mobile flagpoles and a field of rifles with UN helmets on
top.
Centralt placerat står ett vitt kors med texten:

Död 20.03.2003
In the centre is a white cross with the text:
Born 24.10.1945
Dead 20.03.2003
Installationen besöktes av ca 500 - 600 personer mellan klockan 11 -
20.00
The place was visited by approximately 500-600 people 11 AM - 8 PM.
Installationen skapade diskusion hos många. Fler än väntat
var dock mycket positiva.
The installation gave room for many discussions, but more people than expected
had
a sympathetic view on the matter.
